Incidents involving children and teenagers are often the most challenging for first responders. Even if not directly involved in an event, kids may be witnesses, observers, or secondary victims to primary traumas that occur. Participants will learn how to assess scenes through a child trauma lens, gain techniques for communicating with children/families in crisis, and provide immediate appropriate on-scene support.
This course is designed for first responders and chaplains.

Course Length: This is typically a 1 day course, but it can be shortened or lengthened according to agency needs or constraints.
